Not sure what the concrete panels are for other than sidewalk being pour as grey under the new ramp in about 2' x 8' (?) shape, with a fair number being done. You can see some of the holes in the new concrete lanes. More up on site

Hydro is only now piloting LED streetlights with the goal to replace everything after the pilot is done. King street through the Financial District is one of the 6 pilots. Link

Mississauga is now 100% LED Streetlight and would be interest to see who else is 100% or close to it, while Toronto continue to be at the rear of the pack. It's saving the city 10's of thousand already.

All the lights for the walkway east of Rathburn on Eglinton in Toronto is Solar power LEDs.

November 24 - They're finally fixing the "left unpaved" lanes just past Bay and showing the greatest advanced planning by cutting holes in the freshly paved south side of Harbour.

The week after that, the west side will be close to pedestrian so they can rebuilt the south west corner and finish the road.

I would say the week after that, they will do Bay intersection.

With construction taking place in the south curb lane east of Bay, it reinforce what I thought what will happen when I saw it some weeks ago. They are removing the curb lane to Yonge and replacing it with the path for cycles and pedestrians and some trees.

This would take us up to Dec 15 for completion of the road and new traffic lights, but when it will open depends on what is going on under the new road as well when it will be completed. One thing that stills needs to be install is footing for the street light between York and Bay. The footings are in place between Simcoe and York now and waiting for the new lights.

How close are we to having the new ramp open? Is it on schedule?

The situation is becoming totally unbearable with a) huge lineups to access the Spadina off-ramp, b) huge lineups to access the Jarvis off-ramp, c) huge lineups to access the Rees on-ramp because of lane-change conflicts with cars accessing the Jarvis off-ramp.

It’s about freaking time we had this off-ramp up and running.

The scheduled re-opening was mid-January - it would seem they are ahead of that but i remain puzzled at why the work on Harbour from York to Bay is moving so slowly and why no work yet on the north side.

As I noted above, It could be open before the end of the year, depending on the weather. The ramp itself is done and installing the drainage piping now. The sidewalk and trees are another story.

Beginning of January is the official completion date.

Got to blame Traffic Department and Guild for the delays with the lights, otherwise, the road could be open now to York, but no clue what taking place east of York for the delay.

Please tell me they are going to remove the old concrete ramp supports from the "new park"? The ones that they left on the Lake Shore from the Gardiner extension removal several years ago, just make it look unfinished.

They're leaving them up in case the ramp is rebuilt under a Doug Ford mayoralty.
