Would it be fair to say the upcoming plans will lead to the shutdown of the T&T supermarket? Architecturally forgetful but (for me anyway) very convenient.

The neighbourhood will need grocery stores (amongst many other amenities, naturally). I could see T&T eventually moving into the base of a future mixed-use building before closing the current location.

Something caught my eye in the "Water as a Resource" map, which was what appeared to be a channel along Commissioners. Thought it was an error until I flipped through the doc, and sure enough it's acknowledged. Maybe this was in previous presentations, but it seems news to me. And an interesting take on bioswales and green infrastructure (and what's ultimately a ditch).

Also this 3D cross-section of the new river is valuable in explaining how to build a 'natural' river from scratch through an urbanized area. Very exciting stuff.

Very interesting, I love the water channel. I know that would be a straight-up 'nope' from Hydro One if those transmission towers were theirs, but those actually belong to the City, correct? Not sure about the vegetation hanging from them, probably don't want that growing out and creating a ground connection.

Not immediately, but almost a given eventually.

Sorry for the noob questions, but:
  • Would it also apply to the Rebel club as well? There's hoopla that they want to expand to ~15K potential audience....
  • Would someone have to buy these entities out to reclaim the property?
I'm very excited to see this area being planned and developed for.

The T & T is on land leased from the City (and I think they are actually still leased to Steve Stavro of Knob Hill Farms who sub leases them to Loblaw/T&T). Nothing is forever. Both T&T and Rebel (which probably has a lease too) will disappear, eventually.
