It's odd for a pre-leased office tower to doddle. It's not like condos in which developers can delay occupancy with few penalties. Most likely this is just the schedule. I'm thinking even if EQ Bank doesn't intend to occupy their space why delay the finish and miss out on rent.

They do intend to occupy, but the fact is is that they got such a good deal on their current lease (Globe and Mail Centre) they aren't really in too big of a hurry to have the new building be finished. All their operations have moved to 351 King East anyways

Single lane closure on Adelaide last night to get things assembled then this today:
