Don't complain! Image shows streetscape of Bazis' Em-mould Park project (renamed due to all the flooding),... the dead trees along Yonge St has been chopped into stubs last year after they've been dead for a couple of years,... both sets of flower beds have dried out years ago with exposed plastic piping and being used only as dog/homeless toilets.
In comparison, across Yonge St at Tridel Hullmark Centre where in-ground tree wells are at least knee high making it more difficult to be used as dog toilets and offer more pedestrian protections against cars mounting onto pedestrian sidewalks, and Tridel Property Management actually put in effort to maintain their property with at least once a year planting of new flowers every Spring often complimented with a Fall/Winter selection in the Fall,...
As for TransformYonge,...
- for the last 10 years (even before TransformYonge was approved and even before ReImagining Yonge Environmental Assessment officially started), Yonge St streetscape design set backs streetscape design elements like inground tree wells to ensure enough width for future bike lanes,.... which you see in the above Em-mould Park image where there's about 8ft of empty buffer space between inground tree well and curb
- the previous Councillor specified that TransformYonge lane reduction for bike lanes can only proceed after the completion of Doris South Extension to Avondale,... and Beecroft North Extension (to 5800 Yonge J-road Olympic Garden to Cummer/Drewry),... which means TransformYonge will be an election issue in 2026
