After doing some digging of my own and reading through some threads, G Group is working on other projects, one of which includes a pre-con called “The Borough”. After doing some research, I saw a post from one of the investors that purchased a unit at the Borough had spoken to the city and they had advised her that the city has been dragging their feet with approving the project. Also that they are waiting for G Group to re-amend the zoning area. This leads me to believe that the builder is running low on funds, which is the reason why they keep delaying the final closing. We are now approaching the 10th month since the building has been occupied. Normally 6 months is the timeframe for most developers before final closing. Anything after that is a suspicion that there’s something going on behind closed doors. I haven’t seen any progress with the building, aside from them taking down the scaffolding on Yonge. Not sure if there are any legal actions we can take against them, but I’d love to do it. Seems like a greedy developer that is biting bite more than it can chew.
