This morning. They have started tearing down the Burger King building (end of the alley).
According to one of the guys on site, TD Bank is renovating the Yonge and Erskine location and once it's done (in a couple of months), they will move the Yonge/Eg employees to that location.

Oh so that's what they're doing at Yonge & Erskine. There's signs for a new ramen place there as well.

Thanks for the info.

AHHH finally that explains it ... it looks like they're redoing the entire building though, moreover they took over 2 other retail spots there were at the bottom ! The ramen place is the next building north.

Err but I have an issue here, TD has a branch at Eglinton && 2 blocks south (in the minto building && 2 blocks north at Erskine ....... why !?!? I cannot imagine there is all this demand.
I was always hoping they'd leave Y&E and leave that spot for more interesting tenants.

The concentration of Starbucks is hilarious as well. Every single block.

heh wasn't it you that was asking for a ramen place on Yonge?

haha I was ; - ) Well at some point I made a comment how I wished there were more asian places around this area, and it is slowly coming true ; - )

BTW this is it, they already have a location on Queen W:

I imagine TD has good reason to have so many branches here. The one on the corner has the best location of any on the intersection.

I get that .. so keep the Y&E location and close the rest !! errr, I hate banks.

I already miss the kitchen shop+ place.

Touhenboku have a chicken-based broth option for those who don't like the pork bone broth. They're good, but not my favourite in town.

What this city needs is more authentic Prata places. Going up to Richmond Hill to get some is very inconvenient.
