I don't believe we've seen this image before:

That looks like a fairly different scheme from the OMA Masterplan. Apparently it's been updated - available from Dev App:

OMA is out. Boo - this is rather meh. Unimaginative, boring as hell.

PS - edited your post so that the image shows up properly.

Anyway, the issue I see with a first phase adjacent to EH that @44 North mentions is that A) It won't be ready by 2019 and; B) there will be inadequate transit in place until East Harbour is underway.

Could it be ready by 2019 tho? Not on the EH site, but nearby is there anything that theoretically could be modified for Class B-ish office space? Old studios or warehouse space along Eastern perhaps? Bringing a bus service wouldn't be all that hard, particularly if it's more of an express shuttle for Amazon's first wave of employees. All this would be mostly temporary until EH's Phase A is complete 2023.

Brilliant move and glad to see this change, but seems I'm the only one that likes it. I think that building looks fantastic and would look even better once nestled within a fully redeveloped EH. Obviously they're not going to keep that aluminum-clad addition, and naturally we'll be seeing nice touches like green roofs and patios. Edit ok nice catch Copperpot. Guess it won't be retained.

I'm still not sold on the Broadview alignment. And I think something like Sunlight Park would be a cooler name.

So we lose the central square from the original but I can't say that the new configuration is bad.

Knowing how we design public spaces in this city, it is probably a blessing to not have that central open space.

I think there are some noticeable differences between this and the initial concept that was shared with the public.

Yeah, because Berczy Park and the new Grange Park are such stinkers!

Any chance they go taller than 50 storeys, or is there a reason for the limit?
