I'm not saying that none of the chains will show up in those developments I mentioned, but all of the development teams have stated their intention to go above and beyond that too at those sites.

No developer? The Well, Mirvish Village, the Galleria redevelopment, Bloor & Dufferin, Canary District… that's five teams of developers.

Most of those aren't even built yet, so, until we see the retail mix, I remain skeptical! We hear developers making all kinds of promises but in the end, we almost always end up disappointed. Somehow, we always end up with bland banks and the same corporate chains I avoid.

For anyone that used to go to The Guvernment, it's fun to note that the slice of area used for Sugar Beach North is where The Gallery room used to be located. I might have to show up there one day with a little stereo to dance like old times :D
