Why would right hand turns be banned?
That is what I have thought exactly.I think its because it will be every awkward to make that right hand turn because Dufferin curves as it reaches Eglinton. That's why now there is that island and prior to the LRT construction you would get on the right side of the island to make a right turn onto Eglinton.
The same way you do now. With a no-right turn sign. See Yonge and Dundas, where no right turns are allowed in any direction.... how can you ban a right hand turn onto a major street?

Dennis, the first tunnel boring machine, is located at Park Hill Road, and has reached the wall of Launch Shaft 1, while Lea, the second one, is just east of Marlee Avenue under Eglinton Avenue. Lea is stopped for planned maintenance.
