Toronto CityPlace: Canoe Landing Community Centre & Schools | 15.85m | 3s | City of Toronto | ZAS Architects

one thing I've never liked is the middle lane with garbage / grass (often dead) are there no plans for plantings ? The area closer to Spadina has plantings but the rest of the strip is just grass.

That middle strip was put there to reserve the space for a future LRT line, so nothing ambitious of any kind has been planted in it. That LRT may never come, of course…

CityPlace schools to be complete by January 2020, city says

The city blames 'strikes involving several trades' for the delays

CBC News · Posted: Sep 02, 2019 10:36 AM ET

In a letter to the CityPlace Residents' Association and the CityPlace Fort York BIA, the city said construction on Jean Lumb Public School and Bishop Macdonell Catholic Elementary School is expected to be completed by January 2020 and the Canoe Landing community centre will be completed by Spring 2020.

The city said "strikes involving several trades working on the site" were to blame for the further delays.

anybody know the running tracks are indoors and/or can be used in the winter time? Also are there any indoor basketball courts?

Have to admit that I've always had a teenage crush on Luna. Best looking of the Cityplace towers along with Montage.
