There's a double standard though. If we accept that then people of faith shouldn't have to fund things of a homosexual nature.

Like what? Last time I checked there were no gay temples out there lit by Christians. Don't get me wrong churches are pretty. But they are owned by the church. Therefore should be paid for by the church. If the church can't afford lighting clearly they are doing something wrong

I was, admittedly, being facetious and reactionary. But in the end, the argument /discussion over organized religion (and its various intricate/ludicrous stances on gender and sexuality) belongs to another thread. Stepping out now.

Pride, for example. Many religious people have problems with it, but they have no choice but to subsidize it. If the roles were reversed and homosexuals were forced to fund churches, there would be outrage.
