I think the patio on Gerrard fits nicely, the Yonge Street one, not-so-much. They must be noisy with the traffic though. Me - I don't favor noisy patios, I relax and enjoy much better on quieter patios.
 
I wish they'd fix the web cam. Would be interesting watching the process of putting up the glass on the top frame. Someone said it would not be filled in on the inside. Won't that create quite a wind-trapping problem?
 
Regarding those patios, they do look pretty awkward right next to Yonge Street. If I were eating there, I probably wouldn't help myself from thinking a car accidentally mounting the curb and smash right into where I'm sitting.
 
The problem is with the patio on Yonge Street, it's located right where the sidewalk narrows and that corner has become a busy area for pedestrians. I think that area is needed for pedestrians, especially on very busy days. The one along Gerrard is fine and seems better suited for its location.
