Toronto Aqualina at Bayside | 47.85m | 13s | Tridel | Arquitectonica

Personally I'm excited to see the east bay front as a whole coming together. There are now 5 different buildings under construction, compared to the two that have been built in the last decade. We went a couple years with no activity on this part of the waterfront, and now it's full steam ahead.

With all these projects going up, I really hope they do something about public transportation in this area.

It'll be at least a decade before anything is operational. In the meantime, thousands upon thousands of residents will move into this area. Once again, too little too late.

From yesterday.

I was going to say the red beams were a welcome addition... but I assume they will just be painted/clad white after checking the rendering again :(

A bunch from the weekend. General commentary: The whole neighbourhood is really starting to show its promise as more of the sites come into development and the trees in the area have reached another year of maturity. The units on the west side of this buildings are just going to have the greatest views, forever(ish) protected by the presence of the park.

Fantastic photos! It's funny that you mention the views from the west side. I settled for a unit on the east side thinking that I'd be okay with it. But the more this building goes up and the warmer the weather gets, I start to get envious and :( about could have been.

I wouldn't be that envious. Nice looking project and the future looks bright but the area has a long way to go before anyone's envious of its residents. There is nothing around there. Wanna run to the corner store to grab something? Not here. Bite to eat? Where? In the winter it will be a giant wind tunnel. Transit in the area is no-existent and will be that way for a long while.
