I have no problem with the podium actually. A roundish wavy podium really wouldn't have made sense here.

They asked two people. Two people. And one has a bit of a conflict of interest to say the least. I'll take my chances.

There was an article in the Star today bashing glass design condos:

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/torontos-glass-condos-face-short-lifespan-experts-114359149.html

I wonder if those claims will hold true for this condo, lots of glass.

i know, i saw that too... i was hoping it would be on cbc toronto at 5:00 but wasn't.. maybe they mean next monday the series will air.
i think it's a bit misleading saying that all these glass condos are bound to fail,

but to all those Trump bashers who hate the cladding... you only have to wait 15 years for a re-clad :p

Public art in Mississauga? how urban!

This is great, but I wonder what the rationale was behind the horses.

I wish it was painted something other than grey - they blend in to much with the buildings. Contrast would have been good.

It makes an interesting obstacle course for skateboarders and security will have their hands full with the kids climbing the horses and what not.

I dunno, I saw the 'horses' today for the first time in person, and they are.........interesting....guess it's good that Mississauga continues with public art, but to me there seemed to be no connection whatsoever with the buildings.....

I have no problem with this artwork, as it represent what used to be here years gone by. As for using another colour, we could have black, brown, red, dark blue etc.

It will be interesting to see what goes between the openings in the precast wall and nice to not see a steel skin wall.

It would be nice to get the hording down on Hurontario and the sidewalk open.

Those horses are really nice! Too bad they didn't put larger versions on the roofs! Kinda of a take on a weather vane.Would've been an improvement over what's there now!

Art in Mississauga

Up until the late 1970's you were able to horseback ride along the Cooksville Creek that runs behind the Absolute towers.

I suspect it is a tribute to that area's past.

I was also surprised that there was a public art at the base. Mississauga only recently has had an art policy similar to Toronto's.
