Toronto 88 Queen | 167.35m | 52s | St Thomas Dev | Hariri Pontarini

Excellent. Some cues here from King Portland Centre. And it's great - and a no-brainer - to add some high-quality office space to the area.

Here's the next batch: swinging round the podium to the Queen Street entry area:

Luvin' the gold-ish metal and glass podium... even has a decent dialogue with the brick podium next door. Bloor/Yorkville needs one of these.

AlbertC- my selfish concern is a) is there enough room left for my fountain b) why haven't they called ? ;-)

Damn son!

Where to start? Love the colourings and tones. Love the detailing. Love the fact that the aesthetic is modern yet not necessarily minimalist or a copy of others' designs. Love the scale. Love the fact that we are getting office space, rentals, retail and condos (a near perfect mix). Love the integration of retail at the base of the towers (as opposed to the lost opportunity (disaster?) at 'southcore' with large bland expanses of glass at street level).

If this is as well executed as the renderings suggest, this could be a standout project and hopefully a model for future developments in the city.

(and it shows what an inferior piece of crap 88 North is)

Okay, had time to process another batch from Hariri-P. These ones focus on podium details, ending off with rooftop terraces. Claude Cormier, as mentioned before, is public realm at ground level, while NAK Design Strategies are the podium-top amenities designers.

HPA and St.Thomas do it again! These look absolutely stunning!

I have no doubt St.Thomas will execute very well on this with good materials.

Looks very promising. It’s so good to see a good mix of materials. I love the podium. I can’t tell if this site extends west all the way to Church street. Does anyone know?

It does not: it only covers from Dalhousie to Mutual.
