I feel the currently height suits the heritage element better than if this were twice the height. I'm not sure what 18 storeys would accomplish anyways. It still would be too short.
 
It's the perfect height, and the perfect massing. It doesn't overpower, and my eyes are still drawn initially to the older restored beautiful heritage structures, as they should be. I'm not in architecture per say, but for me this is a beauty.
 
I agree it's beautiful as is....one of the best designed and built in the last while. But I still would like to see something built elsewhere with the same curves and glass but much taller! One can only dream.....

Elegant and stunning. A true success for the city's architectural portfolio. I love that it's kind of tucked away too, just waiting to be discovered by chance.
