You know, the tonal variation of the paneling here........from terracotta, to rust red, to near burgundy to burnt orange is quite astounding to me.......presumably mostly a function of how light is hitting the surface, at what angle etc.

Some of those shades are much more flattering than others.

I think we need to promote @DavidCapizzano from brick master, to King of Cladding..............so that he can focus on explaining what is right or wrong about the choice here, and elucidate how one might do better.

I quite like this at some angles, in some light............in others.....less so......

What's that all about?

Its metal, it refracts light. Nothing more to it than that. Don't want that? Clad it in stone or concrete or brick or precast

I don't believe I was complaining, overall, merely observing.

Its rare to me that a building has so many different looks based on where the sun is in the sky.

for sure, i understand. its just a factor of any metal clad building.

for lack of a better example, here is the guggenheim in mid day sun

just look at how many different colours and shades are in those two images, all from one single material
