Toronto 155 Redpath Condominiums | 120.39m | 34s | Freed | a—A

There's so many condos going up on those side streets that it's starting to look like a suburban tower-in-the-park area.

I'd say it started looking that way about 50 years ago. The new towers are filling in the gaps and giving me more of a Charles Street vibe

That being said, I always feel like Redpath is a missed opportunity for some more retail and street activity. It definitely has the pedestrian flows and densities to support at least restaurants and cafes. No need for them to be restricted to Yonge and Eglinton.

Totally agree, WislaHD. I park on Redpath occasionally (usually to grab some Banjara) and there's lots of pedestrians about. Think in 5 years when all the towers are built out on Roehampton, Broadway and Erskine. There's no access to Eglinton between Yonge and Mt. Pleasant other than Redpath. It's a natural pedestrian tunnel that could do with some streetlife. A restaurant here at the south-east or south-west corner of R&R with a patio would have been wonderful.

155 Redpath will have 302 square metres of retail, and another 527 square metres in 150 Redpath. It's not a massive amount but it will fill out the block of Redpath between Roehampton and Eglinton with almost all retail on both sides.

Anyone who has had their PDI done - how do the units look? Are the finishings what you expected? And if you stuck with exposed concrete ceilings, how did that look? Would love to see some pictures if anyone has any, going for an assignment in the same building very shortly and excited about what to expect.

For the most part I'm happy with my unit. The odd scratch and dent here and there. Check your floor near doorways as I found some large gaps in those areas. There was a large crack in my ceiling that I have asked to be fixed (pictured). Another oddity is my cable was run to the middle of the room and is coming out of my hardwood floor (pictured). Has anyone else experienced this in their units? The blinds the builder installed are also getting in the way of our bedroom door closing.

I also uploaded some pictures from the lobby.

Thanks for these pictures DRusso! The concrete is much lighter than some other buildings I've seen, good to see that. Really odd that the cable is coming right through the middle of the unit...hope that's something they're willing to fix for you.

No problem. The rep from the builder said the cable positioning was normal. Hoping no one else has to deal with this.
