New in the AIC:

The site as it appears today: **

The above is 98 Bond Street, and no other addresses are listed in the AIC at this time.

However, basic math suggests the site area of this building is roughly 1/6 of the footprint described in the application.

This is a broader shot with properties on both sides of 98 Bond Street:

The application includes 54-74 Dundas street east and 98-100 Bond st
Height is 30 Floors
Developer Bazis Inc.

A like for sharing the 'info'............but..........holy @#$# is that podium design is entirely awful and straight out of 1982!

Many treasured memories at the Imperial, hope they find a new home. As for the proposal, it looks like they graft an OK looking tower to a bland '80s office building - architect must have a fetish for generic '80s office buildings.

Kinda looks weirdly intentional though...

I thought it was originally an older office block they planning to stick something over the top...until I realized where they planning to build this.

I guess it matches the Toronto Public Health building next door. But surely that’s not a good thing …

You think the podium matches this?

I can't say I see any real resemblance.

To me, it gives off more of a 401 & Markham Road vibe.........

And so far as I'm concerned, that is NOT good!

Now that I’m reminded of the comparison, a podium matching the TPH building would be a HUGE improvement over the proposal. You’re right, it looks like a 30 yr old suburban office park. What joy to have it across from (soon to be renamed) Yonge Dundas Square! 😒

It's like they visited Markham and said: "Wow, Markham has amazing architecture! Let's just copy it and bring some Markham flair and expertise into Toronto" and then created that... I mean just look at these buildings, what is there not to love? (These are all different buildings by the way, including 5 others that I know of, that I will not share here for obvious reasons..)
