But my focus for now is building a bit east, west, and north of the CBD first before going down south, (the union station tracks are ugly!)

Update September 1, 2011... schools right around the corner, the only thing i'm looking forward to is the 10th anniversary of 9/11... tv coverage galore!

I must mention the NYC Panorama model at the Queens Museum in Flushing Meadow Park...
Steveve: I think your modeling is excellent and after seeing your WTC Manhattan
models before and after I had to mention the NYC Panorama model in Queens
at the Queens Museum which is located in the former NYC Pavilion that was constructed
for the 1939/40 World's Fair at Flushing Meadow Park...
I am surprised that no one mentioned this previously being the elaborate city model
that it is...

the models slowed down a bit over the past few days, even the blocks have started to slide around a bit, so i think i'll have to glue them down to a permanent base shortly. (that's why you'll see them misaligned in this shot):

Thanks for posting that link Mike. I've got the Shanghai model on my intenerary for China in the coming weeks, now I have a must-see out on Long Island next time I'm in the area.
Question - what is that big tower in the model east of LaGuardia, out near Arthur Ashe? I don't remember seeing that this spring when I flew in/out of LGA. Looks crazy tall.
*edit - looks to be right where the Unisphere is, no?

Quick update that's not really an update:
holy cow, no updates in almost a month!... I've been busy lately with school and all, but I do plan on starting up again after Thanksgiving/in the upcoming weeks to keep this thing going!
