Star of Downtown, The (Willowfield/Norstar, 12s, Kirkor) COMPLETE

Hi ...i new here. i looking to buy a condo at Wilshire on the Green (Warden & St. Claire). Since its the same buider I just wanted to know how the people at 'Star of Dwontown' condo are doing and how was the place one the registration of the building was done? Also what was the initial maintainance fee you guys were told and wats it now...i guess its abt 2 yrs you are living there now.

8 December 2013 found me walking by this Kirkor eyesore for the first time in 3 years. The Star of Downtown is one of the buildings that inspired me to launch RenderPornStar. This building is the #1 example of why quality architecture matters, esp on our main streets.

Successful retail, eh?

At first I thought this was a 1980's public housing project ... then I thought, omg it's barely 5 years old!

Maybe it's a good thing it won't last 30 years? :D

No one should ever build condos and townhouses this bad in Toronto--I don't care if it's downtown or Scarborough. Thanks for bumping this project, urbandreamer. We need periodic reminders.

What an unfortunate name for an unfortunate development.
I can't believe this is in downtown Toronto. It looks like if could be in Scarborough or Mississauga 20 years ago.

I pass by this building at least once a week, since I work in the area. I'd say the lack of successful retail has a lot more to do with it's location and the overall demographics of the neighborhood rather than with any design flaws. Absolutely atrocious building nonetheless.

You know something is wrong with our planning process, when buildings this bad, get approved. (especially, in the downtown core) It's inexcusable!

They let useless garbage like this get built but yet they rally against Gehry's development.

This probably didn't require the demolition of designated heritage buildings and the quadrupling of allowable density. Unfortunately, if all that is required is a building permit a developer can build any eyesore as long as it meets code and zoning requirements.
The architect Kirkor and the developer however should be shamed out of town.

lol ... whenever I pass by this building complex, I have to remind myself this is a condo TH and not public housing also.
the execution is SOOO BAD it's almost amateurish !

it's as if they used whatever building materials were lying around and threw them together.
