South Beach Condos & Lofts (Amexon Development Group) - Real Estate -

RP42 and Kiwi2010....in your package, does it tell you how much time you have on that day to move in? Can you only book the elevators for a minimum time period, or do you have elevator access all day?

Got my welcome package, and booked the elevator already. 20 days and we will be moving there. Can't wait!!!! It would be nice to meet you all.

A couple weeks for me too.

p.s. Check that 'Hydro' forms in the package... I think its the wrong form (for commercial use and not residential).

Hydro Form is wrong. You can download the correct form from the Hydro website...

I wonder how flexible people will be to share the elevator times on the initial move -in date. My movers will not confirm the time until 24 hours prior to the date..ouchhh

I couldn't wait for our PDI and see what everyone was talking about.
WOW!
I've been to quite a few condos and seen quite a few projects but this one blows them out of the water for sure.
Yes, our unit had a few things here and there but nothing major. Yes, the building is still under a heavy construction but once finished it's going to look amazing.
Attention to detail and the type of finishes is just stunning. The view from our unit...I was left speechless (we have lake & downtown view).
I love how they've engraved "SB" in the door knobs and elevator mirrors. The lobby is beyond fabulous...I can only imagine how great the amenities are going to turn out.
I can't say enough good things about this project. The builder has definitely delivered on his promises. I wonder if this is project is going to raise the bar for other projects lined up around the area. I'm still in awe and the words can't express how beautiful everything looks. Definitely met my definition of luxurious condominium living. :D

Bucket, I agree with you 100%. I was extremely impressed with my unit too.....the few PDI items were all mostly cosmetic. I heard rumours that the realistic date for the pool/gym to be ready is sometime in June. If anyone is renting a parking spot or knows of anyone renting, please let me know. Question, is it just me, or does anyone else feel that we should be compensated in the monthly maintenance fees for the pool/gym and all other amentities NOT being ready? Why would we have to pay the full maintenance fee? And there is no excuse for these amenities not being ready when the condo was delayed almost 1 full year. Does anyone else agree?

I second that Flyers. It is totally unfair to be paying for amenities we can not use for next few months. I think we're gonna be lucky if they are finished by July...hope there is not a year delay ;-)

Here are some....couldn't upload any of the living room area, files were too big.

Question: The counter tops in the kitchen, they basically put two slabs of granite together one on top of the other. There is a seam where both slabs meet. How would I get rid of that seam? Would I seal the seam and then buff it out to make it look seamless? Or should I hire a professional? They told me all of the units were like this.

No, that's the dining room....i have some good pics of the bedrooms and the living room but the size of the files are too big. I'm trying to crop them but it doesn't seem to be working....grrrrr.

Wow, that is a nice unit.

Did you try using imageshack to upload your photos, I know they let you resize them before uploading.

Thanks! I tried cropping them and then uploading them from my mac, but that didn't work. I'll try imageshack, never used it before though.
