Rob Ford's Toronto

I'm not sure how it works, but apparently TPS pushed repeatedly for charges against Ford but it was the Crown that was reluctant to move forward.
Did you ever hear anyone saying they'd push for wiretaps on Ford and Lisi? Or if they feared finding him dead in a crackhouse? And who'd wear that? And the months-long attempt to serve Robbie to appear? It would have been that hard to just drop one while "investigating "threats", against Ford is one thing, but to bomb City Hall? What happened with that? And I love the "without fear or favour" stuff". This is from a force that tries to pass off carding as a tool of "community engagement". I don't even care IF Ford gets charged, and I expect that goes for a lot of Torontonians who'd just as soon avoid further humiliation.

The city hall bomb threats stick in my craw in a big way. The union representing workers at city hall was supposed to be doing an investigation into those threats. Never heard a thing afterwards. How many resources were spent on that little stunt? Does anyone think Towheys book will shed any light on things? Or just muddy things up even more? Fecking Fords.

Sooo @towhey says that Doug Ford talked this morning about Rob Ford running against Bill Blair for Scarborough Southwest federal seat
Siobhan Morris @siomo
Sounds a lot like Doug Ford just spitballing, but, he said it.
Siobhan Morris @siomo
@BautistaBomb @towhey he said if he recovered, if his health was good

I can't imagine the Conservative wanting him to be a candidate. An independent run perhaps?

C'mon:

1. That would be amazing. You could have a completely platform free, attack the other candidate free for all.

2. I have a sneaking suspicion that Blair, as a candidate and not an employee of Ford's, would have a field day with innuendo and
smearing. "The candidate for the Conservatives is, by his own admission, a crack-smoking drunk, correct? But what we really need to know is who he was meeting with, and what city assets he gave away, while he was in his drunken stupors. Is Mr. Ford willing to release the names of which lobbyists he met after hours and away from City Hall?"

From what I've heard about Towhey, he'll tell the truth when pressed in private but then lie about the same stuff publicly and denounces people who tell the truth. Makes me wonder how upfront he'll be in his book.

How about the the young girls he fed drugs to and tried to pimp out or make porno movies in cheap hotel rooms.

You know, I already thought Lisi was scum, but if the above is even remotely true, then he's far worse than I ever would given him credit for. And Ford is an even more reprehensible piece of filth for keeping such a creature as one of his "friends."

Damn it, I was hoping we'd be learning a few new things from Towhey's book, but if he's this unreliable, it looks like we won't be able to trust any of his claims.

Lisi been found guilty of beating up his women, no? Despite how well he cleans up for public viewing, I'll never think nice thoughts about such a man.

Remember the photo of Rob with Sage Finestone, the eyebrow-less 21-year-old who was recently arrested for pimping out a 14-year-old girl in a T.O. hotel?

Wonder if he knows Lisi? And if so, who made the introduction?

My bet is that Doug always had a hankering that Blair would do that and figured HE would have the go at Blair. Didn't Doug Sr. want to be a Fed? Wait...or was he? no that was provincial MP right?

Anyway I bet he tossed out Robs name cause he knows that's a good rallying cry. And then he can see how the players react to the idea. Media spins it, everyone comments and then they create a fight over the possibility for the next few months.
