Rob Ford's Toronto

Exactly. Do it and tell him get lost if he complains - if you cant' follow the rules and directives, don't expect to be protected by them. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Having to draft policies that we know aren't going to get followed is a patent waste of time and just prolongs the BS.

Or, you can use the Drunken Stupor Defense.

Fine piece of journalism from Warmington. I guess Drake is one of those who don't have confidence in TPS. So, why did Worms not call out Rob Ford on his cop-avoidance? Rob already had the "highest honour" the City cn award.

It's already in direct violation of a motion passed by City Council, which by definition, is a by-law.

Every other councillor facing the square has complied, which in a way makes the situation worse, because it makes it look as if Rob owns the joint.
311 was contacted a couple of months ago via Twitter but nothing was done.

Just have the cleaning staff or security staff remove the sign (or repeat signs) either in the evening or in the morning. They have to clean the windows anyways.

This is exactly what should have been done straight away as regards this ridiculous little tantrum. It's beyond insane that Ford is still being indulged to this extent. Spare the rod & spoil the grotesquely overgrown man-child indeed.

On another topic entirely: As y'all know, here's been speculation here aplenty that the Famiglia intends to have young Mikey step up to inherit the Ford throne once Slob's out of the picture, and I can't help wondering how feasible that is...if, indeed that is their plan to keep the Ford "brand" alive. The plain fact appears to be that Mike isn't a reactionary creep like his scumbag uncles, and I don't see that being very appealing to the mouth breathers who are still in love with Rofo.

What is 311 supposed to do? They are "just" a service that connects citizens to the right department. Your (our) complaint is with Facilities Management or the City Manager.

Correct, and furthermore, perhaps Twitter wasn't the best way to report the illegal signage. If you go through the web interface, you are informed of when the issue has been attended to.

That said, I reported a dangerously decrepit manhole cover on my street, and 311 informed me it was done a while before the road crew finally showed up. So, I don't know if they were reporting the inspection or the fact it had been referred to the correct department.
