And here is his Facebook photo:

Well he does use Hotmail for his legal stuff. I wouldn't be surprised

I'm guessing that the charges may be dropped if Heinen is as smart as her past makes her seems. A few key items requested in discovery should change the Mayor's tune real quick although IANAL!

That's my guess too.

I’m wondering if she has some plan to attempt to expedite the release of the evidence that the other lawyers are trying to access as well? Would it go to the credibility she not so subtly threatens in her statement?

Yeah, to get such a hot shot lawyer for a minor assault charge is interesting. A failed attempt at throwing a beverage (as opposed to say acid or bodily fluids) shouldn't amount to much especially with a guilty plea. Not a day in jail, but most likely probation, fine, community service and/or court orders.

Ford Nation's response is predictably hilarious. She's a lefty pawn, it’s evidence that ‘public’ school-teachers are grossly overpaid or she’s part of the mysterious cabal of downtown ‘elites.’

I'm wondering if Ford came on to Ms. Everett, either verbally or by groping her. If so, that may have prompted her to toss her drink in his direction.

Did anyone notice ford was wearing what looked to be a little lav mic while walking around the Taste of Little Italy? What would that be about?

I've wondered about that. Any pics surface with Ford using an earpiece?

Perhaps a failed security experiment?

It could be that all conversations that day were being recorded.

Interesting -- Michael Bryant's lawyer, Marie Heinen is the one who will be defending Shannon Everett and has promised to 'vigorously defend the charges.'

But now the word is she'll defend herself:

So either Heinen doesn't want to touch this case after all, or she thinks the defendant's testimony will be enough and there's no point in her showing up?

No, it's a poorly worded headline.

Defending yourself and representing yourself are two different things but people mix them up.
