Give a warm hand to Guild Electric and Toronto Hydro and their sub contractors for doing a nice job screwing up another project close to 6 months late. Concrete pours have been stop after a number of areas had to be cut out to allow these firms to do their work and then replaced the cut out concrete. No more concrete will be pour where work still has to take place and only after it is 100% complete.
The paving company had 2 crew paving all the pour concrete for the new Dundas between Bloor and Kipling and Kipling to Dundas on Sunday. Temporary paving has been place up to the entrance of the condo buildings from where the concrete stop for the new road. Even part of the westbound lane saw this as well. A small section of the curb has to be built west of the entrance as well the sidewalk.
Kipling should return to normal 4 lanes this week now the paving is done and waiting markings. Even some of it temporary. Viking Lane should be able to open this week as well for southbound Kipling traffic, since its 100% completed, other than markings.
With the full connection to Dundas, its possible a lane could be open for southbound Kipling traffic this week or year as well.
Not much has happen at either end of Dunbloor to connect to Dundas and Bloor, but the curbs to Bloor are been layout for concrete to be pour. No setup for temporary construction traffic light or foundation for them yet. Still missing concrete road on Bloor up to the new connection as well the new Dundas section.
It very possible that we will see temporary paving place shortly to connect all new roads to existing ones to allow Bloor St overpass to be close by year end, with traffic using the new Dundas Rd.
Lot more up on site
