Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Does anyone know if the Staging Report linked below is the most recent document for how they plan on doing this work? This would be the Hybrid 3 plans that begin on Page 25. I imagine this stage of work hasn't been tendered out yet so plans aren't finalized but just looking at the concepts, it's going to be a crazy and no wonder it's going to take 8 years.

Might be the most recent, but definitely out of date. Staging report mentions temp bridge at cherry....

If the plan opening of the new Cherry St and Commissioner St by the end of 2022 stay on course, no need for a temp bridge or the plan rerouting of the DVP and the Lake Shore. By having traffic using the Don Ways to Commissioner St and then Cherry St back to the Lake Shore, the building of the new Lake Shore and the DVP on/off ramp can be built without any interfering with the work for everything including the widening of the mouth of the Don under the current Lake Shore, pedestrians/cycles trail and the new extension of the mouth of the Don

At the end of the day, forget about rebuilding the Gardiner and save money in the long run by not doing it.

When I was shooting the area on Friday, had a good look at the area that Option 3 is the best option. There is no way that it should take 8 years to do when it can be done in 2-3 year at the most. Tearing the existing structure down is only a matter of 2 months.
 
The plot of land over by the Victory Mills, is being used as a processing area to cut up steel into smaller segments.

Can't believe how fast those roads underneath are back up and running after the insane amount of dirt and dust and debris that was all over them this time yesterday.

Haven't checked it out in person yet, but Google seems to show traffic moving through there.

At what point will Google just REMOVE the Gardiner section that's showing closed right now. It ain't closed. It's gone!

You and your team are doing stunning work (pretty nerve wracking too by the looks of it). Keep up the good work, because I feel like most of us on here are very impressed with the speed and execution of this.

By the way, the photos show some great vantages that most of us arent able to get in close proximity too so i'm loving it.

Wonder if the Toronto stonehenge calendar will be finished by the autumn equinox (Wednesday, September 22)?
