Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

a Ferris Wheel is now on
The man had a dream. That dream was big, made of metal, and with spindles all around. The man was not going to leave his post until his dream was materialized somewhere in his fiefdom.

Uhh is that a Tram or a Gondola?
Tramdola. Why settle for tiny gondolas when you can suspend an entire tram below the cable:

While this is great, I feel like Doug ford could really be investing more into the Port Lands as a strategic site for tourism, culture and recreation. It's arguably an even more compelling investment - would enhance Toronto's night, cultural and entertainment economy and is going to be anchored by the nearby East Harbour and LRT, albeit close to downtown Toronto.

I would love Toronto's version of Berlin's Friedrichshain or Kreuzberg (studios, galleries, music venues, art spaces) we need to support artists in the city more than ever and this is one of the last undeveloped parcels of land in Toronto. While there is already a lot of ambition in the Port Lands, I feel like there is still so much untapped potential aside from just building housing especially with some power plants slowly becoming obsolete.

Or . . . just a thought . . . spend public money making sure everybody has a family doctor. Sick people can't support the arts.

Well, you can just barely loop around from the convention centre to the falls, hitting most of the major hotels and other "major attractions", in 3.8 km.

The thing though is that route isn't going to be built whatsoever for the benefit of the residents or development of the city in general.

Pedestrianizing Clifton road and putting an LRT/streetcar along the red route posted above would immediately make the place much more tourist friendly. But I also would like to see more housing built and infill on parking lots to take the city out of its post-industrial decay look.

Well, the Five Pillars of the Destination Niagara Strategy (Tourism Attractions, World-Class Gaming, Wine and Culinary Tourism, Arts and Culture, Transportation Development) don't really have much to say at all about, as you put it:
[building] housing and infill on parking lots to take the city out of its post-industrial decay look.
The government seems not want to put a ton of resources into the underlying community.
