While the New Year is still fresh, this weekend is your last chance to weigh in on UrbanToronto Year-End Readers' Poll, but the window is closing quickly. Voters have just two days remaining to make their picks before the poll closes at 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Brought to you by our friends at Diverso Energy, your vote helps determine which completed buildings stood out most across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area over the past year.

Now in its twelfth year, UrbanToronto’s poll invites the community to reflect on another year of citybuilding by voting for favourite new buildings completed in 2025. Altogether, this year's poll features 121 completed buildings, a record number of candidates. Projects are grouped by height, with voters selecting one favourite building in each category:

  • 6-7 storeys — 14 projects
  • 8 storeys — 12 projects
  • 9 storeys — 7 projects
  • 10 storeys — 9 projects
  • 11-13 storeys — 11 projects
  • 14-15 storeys — 12 projects
  • 16-19 storeys — 12 projects
  • 20-25 storeys — 10 projects
  • 26-32 storeys — 11 projects
  • 33-39 storeys — 11 projects
  • 40-49 storeys — 5 projects
  • 50+ storeys — 7 projects

Each project in the poll is represented by a single image. Readers who want a closer look are encouraged to click through to the linked project pages, which lead to UrbanToronto Forum threads containing extensive photography.

Voting remains open until 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Submit your selections as soon as possible, as results will be finalized immediately after the deadline. The winners of each category will be announced next week.

Voting is open to everyone, and UrbanToronto membership is not required. Readers are encouraged to share the poll with colleagues and friends, and to join the conversation on social media using #UrbanTorontoPoll, before time runs out. Click here to vote now!
