Interesting goings on in that building...

I remember taking that photo back in June, it was sunny, then it poured rain for about one minute, then it was sunny again. Everything looks good when it's wet and bright at the same time.

Just like in the movies!

Yes my dad used to work here when Canada Malting was still operating.

I find one thing very interesting about that photo. It was taken last March. The Pure Spirit tower is almost done in that picture yet occupancy only took place a few months back which seems a really long time. In that same period Bay Adelaide, which is absent from the picture, topped off and is almost completely clad today.

Actually, it's nice to see some other skylines for a change.

Although why do most UT photo of the day include downtown and skyline shots only? 'tis the dullest part of toronto, the most over-photographed, tourist stuff....

Why not showcase the "real" Toronto--the streets, the houses, the shops, the ppl?

Because most of the shots on the site that I cull from are downtown/skyline oriented. I'll keep this in mind going forward.

Don't know exactly but One Chase Manhattan Plaza (box in the main cluster just to the left of the Empire State Building) was completed in 1961. So early-mid 60's I guess.

Where exactly do photos of the day come from, are they submitted or do you dig them up from somewhere.

I take some of the shots but for the most part they are sourced from photos posted by members.
