Update from this morning’s GO ride: the second cutter head is lying face down on the surface, alongside what looks like the front sections of the second TBM.

Right on the other side of this wall is TTC’s Pape Station. We recently exposed the existing Line 2 subway station structure, and we will continue to dig down to uncover the entire station. It’s a delicate operation, but with careful excavation around the active station and installing additional supports, we'll be able to get safely underneath it to build a new Ontario Line connection."

Unfortunately the TBM hasn't launched but they have taken all the tarps off the front components so there's that. With the work they're doing to the front of the 2nd TBM, my best guess is they want to finish assembling those components before the 1st TBM is moving next to them.

In other Exhibition news: they were taking down the crane closest to the portal today. I'm guessing the gantry crane that is coming is all they will need in this part of the site going forward.

Finally, I'm not sure if this related to Ex Station, but they were repaving everything under the Gardiner between the start of the elevation and the entrance to the GO station.

It was actually "launched" yesterday, they had to do it because it's a contract milestone . They just made sure the TBM can rotate properly, monitored the thrust frame structure and had everything working.

IIRC the current schedule is most construction on the line wraps up in 2030, though commissioning, etc. will likely extend opening until 2032 or so. Remember that while the Crosstown opened in 2026, most major construction works were done in 2024 or so.

Do they have a list of tunnelling milestones, I’m curious to know when the breakthrough at KingWest will happen. It will be cool that there will be an actual tunnel from Fort York to the Wheat Sheaf Tavern.

Great to see the first pier being topped off (or whatever it's called) you can see it splitting at the top.

Also cool to see the footings (or whatever they're called) for the elevated section along Don Mills.

He better not be! What he’s proposing be done to Little Norway Park, BIlly Bishop and the islands etc is criminal. On top of the 18 other scandals under his watch. I cannot believe how passive and dumb the Ontario electorate is

Imagine if Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and the midwest could set the direction of NYC. That's kind of the dynamic of the rest of Ontario to Toronto.

People in Timmins and Thunder Bay get to decide (via their MPPs) whether Bloorcourt residents are allowed to have a bike lane in their neighbourhood
