Montréal Transit Developments

Laval would have to meet up with the metro too, no? Is an extension of the orange to Carrefour in the cards?
Maybe not, an extension of one station of the metro could be feasible or the REM could go to the Montmorency station. No, the ARTM is still studying the orange loop but does not go up to the Carrefour (which is the main destination...). Anyways, I don't think the ARTM will survive in the midterm, all the transit operators hate that agency and publicly stated that they don't know what they're doing.

The Blue Line extension and maybe Orange Line extension to Bois-Franc will be the last extensions of the metro that I'll see in my lifetime IMO.

Interesting editorial on the leadership role of the CDPQ versus the ARTM and other agencies like Metrolinx and Translink. Basically public sector can't do shit because of politics.

A very interesting article, it just confirms that politics + transit = mess.

Some new photos of the tunnel exposed tunnel at McGill.
