The fact that it is still an adjacent automotive business really surprised me as well! Especially after 62 Years!
 
In Europe, the drug stores sell over-the-counter drugs and prescription drugs. Today, here in Toronto, they sell milk, candy, make-up,....

Actually, the "beyond drugs" idea was probably born in Paris with the postwar "Le Drugstore" concept.
