The loss of the Tanenbaum Sculpture Court was a shame:

Then and Now for December 20, 2012.

Then. 'Wareroom of the Newcombe Piano Company, Church Street.' c1891. At Richmond, NE corner, to be exact.

Now. July 2012. Uhm, ye-aah, I'm reasonably sure it's still there.. underneath that..

Heya gang, once again I'm resurrecting an old post to add a new picture. See below.

Let's call this picture an interim picture.

The Toronto online archives keeps adding new items... they are a bunch of busy bees...

Goldie,

It's neat to see the old landmarks: St. Pauls campanile/tower and the Broadview Hotel in your Now photos, peeking out at us still. :)

Thanks for those keen observations, Mustapha.

I had noticed the Broadview Hotel but was not aware of St. Paul's Tower.

"Hmmmm......but it closed in 1914 "
Thecharioteer.

After which, they repaired to Lombard Street.

I still wonder how much, if anything, of the old building is left behind the façade of the current version
