Multiple Questions
I have multiple unrelated questions:
1) My friend lives in another condo and he said that for cable and internet everyone in the building is forced to get Rogers and can't get Bell Fibe TV, is that possible? If you live in a condo do you have the option of choosing your cable and internet provider? I'm pretty sure he's just misinformed, but I just want to double check. I'm not particularly a fan of Rogers, and supposedly Bell has a better HD picture through Fibe.
2) What exactly happens on your occupancy date? You get your keys from your lawyer and pay the next deposit that you owe, 15%? Do they accept regular cheques, or does it have to be certified? What else do I have to do to prepare for my occupancy date?
3) Do you need to have condo insurance before you move in? If so, what kind of coverage do you need, 1 million, 2 million? What's a good rate? I went on Insurance Hotline and the best quote I got was for about $200 for the year. Is that reasonable?
