All buses are using the new eastbound platform on Queen east of the intersection. Traffic was very light on the Queensway-Queen road now open for the close King St route.

Looks like they are getting ready to shut the project down until spring. Some sidewalk has finally built for McD area, but not complete. Nothing for the yard area. Staring to build some sidewalk by the Hospital. Most of the westbound curb lane pave with missing sections for the yard area and a few other locations.

No bus stop info as to where to catch a bus in either direction at Glendale Ave with the old platform gone now.

There are hydro wires on the new westbound light poles as well to the street light and hope they are temporary.

The rebuilt Sunnyside Loop is complete now,

Most of the fencing was blown down. Saw no changes to the west as I drove by.

All the road has been dug up with ? bury in the dug up area from the switches to the King tracks to the east. This allows for the forming for the new rail base to be built.

Maybe lucky to see all the tracks in place by year end, but more like 2022. Then what good is it when poles for the overhead is not in place for the intersection as well the no squaring of the road for the intersection. 2 TTC poles added to support temporary traffic lights.

All the track work for King is done at the Intersection. The eastbound track has a sweeping curve compare to the westbound with a larger gap between the 2 tracks compare to the rest of the system.

More poles for the OS have been in stalled, but not close to do any wiring for the 504. Until the switches and tracks are replace for the south gate, the 504 can't operate even f the OS is in place.

Small section of curb for the ROW are in place on either side of the Sunnyside Loop going westbound.

Someone is going to get hit and kill the way drivers are making turns onto Sunnyside going eastbound as well the ones turning left off Sunnyside because of the setup. Saw a few pedestrians nearly get hit because eastbound drivers can't see them until they are on top of them due to speeding. A few near miss for head on collision because of speed and drivers not stopping where they should in the first place.

West side of Sunnyside to the hospital driveway is torn up with the removal of dirt for the centre post underway. Base should be pour along with pole support this past week. Rail sitting on the west side of the driveway.

Two years to replace the track intersection in Toronto. Weekend to replace the track intersection in Zurich. Because public transit is low priority in Ontario.

As all too often, you are comparing apples with rocks! The work here is replacing water, sewers, hydro etc and then the tracks.

Two years to replace the track intersection in Toronto. Weekend to replace the track intersection in Zurich. Because public transit is low priority in Ontario.

The boys from Australia say the same thing and it been pointed out many times.

Then, it is out of TTC hands since the City is calling the shots. They call the tenders and stated what has to be done with input from TTC and awarded the contracts.

The first major issue is Toronto Hydro. Toronto Hydro has been late on almost every TTC projects from a few week to 6 months and very late on this one. They were late on the Gardiner Simcoe off ramp by a few months.

You have the funding issue where things get push down the road and this is happen here now.

Doing work in the winter is a lot slower than the summer and require extra time for the concrete to curie considering how cold it been this winter..

How TTC does things is different from most places when it comes to replacing track to the point are they doing it more right then wrong as to how they do it??

TTC said rail should last 20-25 year other than curves before replacement now the tanks are gone. The ties should last 50-75 years before replacing them. The whole base is supposed to last 75-100 year, but who to know since we will be gone before it done.

Then there is the water and storm water system that is supposed to be replace.

To do it right, you close the whole road to traffic 100% other than buses. Expect one big bitching complaint from the car folks. Cars are king and they need their right of use of the roads before transit or pedestrians.

COVID has most thing delays these day due to lack of manpower and material.

Please justify your claim that the reason for delays on this project (which affect all road users, not just transit) have anything to do with whether or not the Province considers transit important.

April 3

Been a little busy since my last visit.

The westbound King St road is now pour and wait paving to Queen St.

Haft of the new eastbound road is pour with most of the new curb pour for the new layout.

New sidewalk to the overpass bridge has been pour.

All the poles for TTC are installed for the new KQQR intersection as well up to Sunnyside loop with 2 missing at the loop. 50% of the new eastbound curve for the new Queensway lay out pour.

No poles up for Sunnyside Loop.

3 of the 4 centre poles for the ROW are up and no idea why the other 3 pole support were not pour up to the hospital entrance. Some forming taking place for building the new ROW.

All the OS west of Dufferin St still has to be rebuilt.
