Don't know what happened to that post formatting but...

If we hope to have complete streetwalls in the City Centre , someone had better cut those trees down before they grow too big and environmentalists and NIMBY's fight to have them protected.

I believe the projects slated for this land have already been approved; the developers, for whatever reason, just haven't moved forward with the projects.
