That won't work as you cannot pass through the locomotive. What's next, distributed power on the Canadian?
Why is it only a restriction with passenger locomotives? Makes no sense.

The bike cars have been reinstalled on the Niagara trains.

They probably emit more smoke and there are less of them to go around so they probably get pressed into service more. Also yard switchers don't really need to be washed. Why

I talked to a crew member on that train and they don't expect that to happenI’m guessing they will wye one of the F59s by next week to have it face west for the London train.
Crews really don’t know what will happen to the consists though.I talked to a crew member on that train and they don't expect that to happen
But the point of having two locomotives on the London train was so that if there is a problem with one unit it can limp home. Otherwise it's going to take 6 hours to get there and tow it home.Crews really don’t know what will happen to the consists though.

What about the faster sections between kitchener and Toronto? That may have been a concern originally, or particularly in winter weather, but ML seems to be having no problem with the idea now.
With the speed limits so low west of Kitchener, it may be moot. A single F59 can most certainly haul a full train at 30 mph.
