Sorry if this has been asked before, but will there be a UPX stop at the new Woodbine GO Station. That was the impression I got from the announcement and would be amazing for airport access from Brampton, Guelph and KW.

Does Woodbine GO being on the east of the switches to the UP Express spur tracks have any drawbacks? Obviously if it was on the west of the spur tracks themselves it would be prohibitively expensive to connect.
I would assume if there was a UP Express station then it'd have dedicated platforms to handle it, so the switches could be moved further east to serve the dedicated platforms and extend the spur track segment from Hwy 427 to 27.
There is this track plan in the environmental assessment process documents:

It seems to show six tracks.
The government declared the Woodbine GO TPAP complete on April 21, 2020, and issued a notice to proceed with construction.
There are no TPAP addendums I can find. All the environmental project documents seem to be on Woodbine Racetrack's website, rather than Metrolinx's. I did find just today updated architectural plans filed with the city in January 2025. There doesn't seem much changed, but now both island platforms are the same length. I think the third pedestrian bridge might have been replaced with a tunnel too, but it's hard to tell. I don't think there's room for a third platform to the south without expropriation, but there might be room to the north for a future side platform. The Woodbine Station TPAP, which was completed in 2020, says no, or at least, not yet. But that thinking may have changed. I have not seen any sign of an addendum to the TPAP in this regard.

By rights, it should have been completed months ago, but being drawn out to kill time until it opens this fall. Other than that, no public announcement when it will open other than when Ford announce the opening date or someone from MTO cuts the ribbon. Opening dates or completion dates are held in seal envelops in seal safe hidden from the public.Anyone have information on when the Confederation GO station will be completed this year? Nothing really available public besides "sometime this year".
The tentative plan is for service to start this October.Anyone have information on when the Confederation GO station will be completed this year? Nothing really available public besides "sometime this year".
Slowly getting there^ looking forward to a new tunnel/connection to the platforms.
I ended up going into the office today. I'll provide some more context on Paul's update following the Stouffville line's upgrades.I did some checking of my own this morning and found that trains are now using the east (south by timetable designation) track all the way from Oakworth to Highland.
The west (north by timetable) track may be in service shortly, if all goes well.

All public and non public sources I’ve seen over the past few years say Woodbine will be a GO and UP Express stop. It was also mentioned directly by the premier last week.
This was on a map shown off for the first time yesterday:

If the plan is to have the UPX stopping at all these stations, then they seriously need to consider a parallel running express service that runs solely between Union and Pearson. Or maybe with just a stop at Bloor.Add the Mount Dennis station and maybe another station (King-Liberty if it gets built, I recall them wanting an airport train stop) and we will have to remove the X from the UPX.
