That 2030 completion date kinda took my breath away, considering that this project places constraints on LSE and Stouffville service plans…. But it really isn’t that far away (at my age, calendar math is not my friend).
The plan to do the east side does suggest that the biggest piece of widening and retaining wall construction will happen early.
No details provided about the bridge design, ie maybe if the bridge is a single span, the underside can be completed early and track minimally constrained. Whereas if multiple pillars have to be formed and poured, impacts on GO will be greater.
Hopefully ML will hold a project information event with the usual renders and details.
Reading this report, it’s apparent how much detail reaches the public domain from the city versus how much ML discloses to its decision process - a very thorough reporting of impacts and mitigation plans. I much prefer the bureaucratic speak to ML’s puffed up version.
Just need a couple renders.
