Forum Issues Since Relaunch (Jan 20, 2010)

got some fattening or 'squatification' happening again Ed. you're probably going to have to change the orientation of those window frames.....

The website header is still hideous.

If we're going to be going official and reporting as a real media outlet, the site design needs to change.

i'm afraid i would have to agree. there is still far too much going on. shrinking the panorama hasn't helped because the image contains a multitude of colours and details which are impossible to discern. i really feel like i have no idea what i'm looking at, It just looks like a chaotic mess, and combined with the orange/black gradient the overall effect is still quite unprofessional looking.

to my mind the site--like all great sites--needs to have a strong, simple, easily grasped identity that visually communicates what the site represents. UT needs something memorable and something ICONIC. its a great URL, the words URBANTORONTO scan wonderfully, but you're not really using it to its full potential. its still quite a muddle....

Agreed the mast head could use a bit of work... but overall an excellent re-launch. I have been on this site since 2002, before the last relaunch (when we lost our post tally).

I love the blog style home page and the links to daily stories on urbanism. All in great work guys and wonderful to see the forum mature and evolve!

This is a very minor detail, but most of the forum sections that have an ampersand in their title show up incorrectly on my browser.

For Example, under "Projects & Construction" it shows up as "Projects & Construction".
