Amazed to see those two "orange-crate" scooters at the curb.
I built one as a child…..great fun!

Any board (usually a two-by-four) with 1/2 of a roller-skate attached front and rear.
The upright orange-crate nailed to the front.

Still in business but no stores. For decades they had their head office in Don Mills on Greenbelt Drive but they moved late this past summer to Vaughan. The building is empty and for lease.

Angelo's was a great spaghetti house.
Corner of Chestnut St. and Edward St.
It's the place I had my first beer (with spaghetti!).

he say's the pic was 1958/1959

The Long T was the 1960s

Funny story… editor from New York Times advised one of the Tepermans to remove the building materials for sale and leave wrecking. A little hint went on to be a big marketing hit
