Hallelujah! Work is finally about to begin on one of Toronto's most high profile eyesores. I was told that water from the previous fountain was leaking into the subway and this will be an expensive fix.

I'm curious if Lake Ontario at Toronto is deep enough to accept cruise ships?

With the size of freighters we see in the harbour I see no reason a cruise ship would not be able to access us.
We also see military ships regularly as well. You can see one turning around and stirring up the sediment on Google satellite view.

The military ships that visit have a shallow draft. Lake freighters are also limited in draft.

I imagine that the main limitation regarding ocean-going liners in Lake Ontario is the width and depth of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
