I just hope they clean the place up. The apartments themselves arent in terrible condition, but like many other buildings I have complained about, I can confirm this one has pest issues. The kind of pests that scurry really fast when the lights turn on. On the other hand, they are beautiful looking buildings from the outside and it would be great to see these restored in some manner or another. Hopefully they bug-bomb the place somewhere along the way.
I love walkups! They look great, add a lot to the street, and are very people (as opposed to car) focused. An addition to the rear which adds density, and keeps this cool building in an area of the city that needs more midrise density is a win-win.
Oh, and yes, the title should say "Spadina Rd", not "Ave." In fact, it says it in the description: "Location: 467 SPADINA RD"
Great proposal at a great location. I'll be subscribed to see how/if this project moves along. There are quite a few rental buildings in this area that could use some work. A few properties on nearby Thelma Avenue first come to mind.
Everything about this bullshit project is so wrong.
Funny that this conversion is just dandy when if it were the reverse (two homes to 17 apartments), the neighbourhood and City would be up in arms. Insane.
