Nothing seems out of the ordinary for the weights. It's always harder to get younger respondents. More or less, if a subgroup is weighted up or down by more than a factor of two then that begins to raise some concerns.

Good point. I wonder how many people are like me and only answer calls from people they know. Important unknown callers will leave a VM. This has also never been an issue for me when looking for a new job.

You had the power to enforce the laws against open drug use, against public obstruction and nuisance, in-traffic begging, encampments, graffiti, littering, bike lane blockers, dangerous driving and speeding, etc, etc. You had the power to combat these societal detractors, but you did nothing. Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO) said that Section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act, which sets speed limits, only applies to motor vehicles - so it doesn’t apply to bikes or e-bikes.

The City of Toronto has, however, set the speed limit for 'vehicles, motorized recreational vehicles, bicycles and personally powered vehicles' within parks as 20km/h. Toronto is near alone as a major Canadian city enforcing speed limits upon cyclists, and it is worth asking why. Where does this directive come from?

The city needs to repeal the enforcing of 20 km/h for bicycles and personally powered vehicles (such as skateboards or rollerblades), since they do not have speedometers on them.

It's like ad-blockers on the internet.

There's one online media site I frequented which had a very interesting setup. There was a native advertising slot (advertising entered in as though it's regular content) in a prominent spot right "below the fold" on the page, meaning it was in the spot which would be the first thing you see if you scroll down the front page of the site.

However, if the site detected you used an ad-blocker, it would change things up and instead of an advertisement there it would have a post about available coding and networking jobs for their business with a link to their HR site.

In other words, the only way you could see potential tech jobs for this online media firm was by using an ad-blocker. If you didn't use one, you would not see or be offered access their jobs site. Pretty cheeky for an online media enterprise that makes money off of advertising, but it makes sense as a filter for who would want those jobs.
