I am new to this form, but know a little bit about how the development works in a big city. This project went on sale in November of last year, correct? Then you would need to finish your working drawings so you can price the project, no one spends the money on that till they know that there is enough pre sales, that takes at least 4-6 month. In the mean time you have to terminate all the leases and start to disconect all the cervices. Do you have any idea how slow hydro or consumer gas works, plus this being one of the most congested intersection in the city with all kind of services going through the site to feed 33 Bloor st E and other building and TTC. All that has to be disconected and re ruted around so demolition can start.
From what I understand they got their demolition permit last week and will be statarting demolition very soon. Its a gread chalange to build at this corner so there will be a lot of planning and co ordinating up front before construction starts.
