    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

The 30km catchment area approach doesn't really take into account the geography of the area, for example the 30km catchment area population around YHM is relatively small, but if you include the populations of areas outside that zone but more conveniently located relative to YHM if it were to...

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

I'd say an airport in Pickering would have limited impact on Porter, the island airport business model is unique and proven to be profitable for Porter. I can guarantee that business passengers have zero interest in heading all the way to Pickering for flights. And I suspect the numbers would...

    Toronto The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

This will really increase the volume of people in the PATH heading to and from Union. Hopefully it forces a fix to the terrible bottle neck of stairs in the Scotiabank Arena.

In my two previous condos restrictions applied, generally 5am to Midnight for the gyms and similar for pools. In the NYC apt gym is 24/7. I don't find the closing hours too restrictive as I'm generally a morning workout guy, but it would be nice to go down and use the sauna at night, 10pm can...

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

As a resident here I'm happy about how the retail worked out. It's pretty much set up so that anything I may need is right in the complex; household basics, groceries, some clothing choices, haircut. I pretty much never need to get out of my slippers and bathrobe. I still have mixed feelings...

I ran the render through a CSI Miami filter, and it's worse than a Sasquatch, much worse:

That's actually the pool at the public gym, and it is a joke, I'm not sure why they bothered. There is no pool for residents. Yes it was a bait and switch on the pool. But I will say the amenities on the 5th floor for residents are extremely nice, despite the lack of a pool.

Here's some views from the 66th floor of the west tower. And a panorama comparison of the view from my apartment in NYC vs. the Toronto condo.

Right now, not so much. But we will see in the summer how much I use it. The old condo on the 36th floor was not bad, I would sit out there and watch the lake .

I just moved into my unit in the west tower on the 66th floor and I was really impressed with the finishing and fixtures in my unit. And it has a nice layout as well. I did hear that they switched contractors at some point between the east tower and west tower due to poor quality of the...

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

For me Harbour Plaza towers are fantastic, but the podium is a bunker. 10 York the Tower is a bit of a hodge podge and the only feature of interest is the shape, but the podium is beautiful. I'd rather look at Harbour Plaza on the skyline, but 10 York on the street.

    Union Station: Northwest PATH Expansion

In the diagram above, if 3 were ever built the old tunnel between Union and the Royal York would become very useful.

    Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I'm guessing they'll wait until all the road works are ready, otherwise you'll have a ton of traffic dumped onto Simcoe.

But don't forget that for most of those the cost of the locker is built in ; ) And for others a "storage suite" is included. I guess that's like a bachelor apartment suitable for storing the help.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

This may be old news, but I saw a Flexity using it's Pantograph entering the Exhibition across Strachan today. First time for me.

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

What's maxed out at YTZ is slots (number of daily landings and takeoffs), some growth is available if they get rid of the general aviation and once Orange moves, but it is still a heavily slot constrained airport. The reason for the shift to jets was to expand the value of each slot by flying...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

I once made it from my desk at King and Bay to sitting on a Porter flight in 25 minutes (at around 3pm). I generally fly out of Pearson because I like to centralize my airline point collection, but short of teleportation YTZ will always be faster.
