    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

That should be "Trains vers l'aéroport". Metrolinx is terrible with bilingual signage. Still, glad to see that the station is ready for opening soon!

    New Transit Funding Sources

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I have been able to look past most Liberal scandals because, in my opinion, the good outweighed the bad. But this... it just seems reckless and desperate. There is no way that the public will be financially ahead on this in the long-term when private profit...

    Brampton Transit/Zum

That is interesting.. Any more detailed info on what is planned for Bramalea GO?

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

I am very impressed. It is quite tall and dense for the area, but it's the perfect place for it - right on the subway line. I also love that there will be 1000 rental units, which the city needs more of badly. I hope that the final version doesn't stray far from this vision for the site.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

In my opinion, Metrolinx shouldn't even be entertaining an alternative to putting overhead wires through Downtown Brampton.. This would just add extra cost and complexity to the system for minimal benefit. There are some cases where NIMBY types should just be ignored..

    Planned Sprawl in the GTA

I look forward to seeing what recommendations the panel comes up with. I would love to see the greenbelt expanded significantly to prevent leap-frogging, especially for the Simcoe Region.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

An LCBO would be a nice amenity to have here, in my opinion. Of course, there is the issue that most (all?) peak-time trains are packed and people have little room to bring a bag of groceries or a few bottles of wine along with them for the ride..

    Downtown Markham

+1 I find them so homogeneous and cheap looking with all that stucco.. Having said that, the rest of Downtown Markham is coming along nicely.

    Planned Sprawl in the GTA

To be fair, most ZUM stops are closer to the intersection than this - I believe this one was placed there to be closer to the GO station. However, your point still stands. The 905 suburbs have done an awful job of making transit user-friendly and intersections pedestrian-friendly. I live in...

    Really Well Built Condos

+1. It's too bad that it is coincidentally also one of the better built condos, so we may be stuck with it for a little while still.

    Toronto Aquavista at Bayside | 46.94m | 13s | Tridel | Arquitectonica

That podium looks terribly generic and boring. Why would they put a grocery store facing the lake? Bad idea, imo.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Now that's an idea I could get behind. The NIMBYs would have none of it though.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Yes, I was being generous is comparing GO to the UPX. UPX is a more premium service and should be priced accordingly.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

+1 Demanding TTC-level fares for the UPX is a joke. I understand wanting it to be affordable, but $3? It costs more than that to take GO transit along the same route.

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Agreed. The section up to York University alone is worth it to service the huge ridership at the university. Ever stand in line for the 196 during peak times? And it's not like Wilson or Downsview station have huge densities around them either, but they are fairly well used stations.

    2014 Municipal Election: Brampton

A crushing defeat for Fennell at that.. She garnered just 12.5% of the vote compared to over 49% for Jeffrey. I look forward to seeing what Linda Jeffrey will do for Brampton.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

There is no co-fare between GO and TTC, so you would be paying the regular TTC fare in your transfer. If a co-fare agreement could be made, then yes, it would fix this issue. Although I'm sure some people will still complain about having to pay 75 cents more.

    Markham York University/Seneca College: Markham Centre Campus | 56.08m | 13s | York University | Diamond Schmitt

It appears that all of the buildings on site look the same.. I would rather see some variety. As for the surface parking, I don't think it's such a big deal, as I am sure that it will be built over rather quickly. York's Keele campus is losing surface parking fast with its current construction...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

"Customers will benefit from better convenience and choice by having intercity bus carriers, GO Transit, VIA Rail, the TTC and UP Express in one location." Source: http://news.ontario.ca/mto/en/2014/09/new-go-transit-bus-terminal-at-union-station.html

    Markham 68 Main Street Condominiums | 42.3m | 6s | Sierra | FBP Architects

This looks great! I'm very impressed, I must say. I would like to see more of these types of developments throughout the GTA's historic centres.
