Is my superintendent getting paid too much?

I think 42K is reasonable, but again, coupled with housing benefits, it is more like at least $54K gross, which I find to be quite daunting.

Is my superintendent getting paid too much?

I believe that is just salary since there is a separate line item for benefits. He lives in the building and his office hours are for only two days (you can set up appointments though and he is email accessible), although I am aware he also does stuff behind the scenes. The building is...

What do you guys think of this layout?

That's an interesting comment, I never thought about that. I guess it depends on your preference because one of the things that actually popped out to me is that there is a lot of cabinet space in the kitchen. I've seen quite a few that actually don't have enough space for things. (pots, pans, etc.)

What do you guys think of this layout?

Thanks for the heads up. Ya, he did comment on the hallways but he liked the L-shape of the LR/DR. Also, the current owner has used the breakfast area as the dining area as well (ie. just placing one dinign table) and is using both the LR/DR as one long LR by placing the tv near the window...

What do you guys think of this layout?

Another thing; the wall separating the master bedroom and the dining room is a wall of cabinets, which I find to be a good thing.

Is my superintendent getting paid too much?

So I just moved in to my new condo and just got the details/financial statements for the AGM. I reviewed the financials and noted that the superintendent makes around $42K per year. In addition to that, he lives in the building in one of the suites (7th floor) for free as a benefit of his job...

What do you guys think of this layout?

A friend of mine is about to put down an offer for a condo and wanted some opinions on this floor plan of the home that the seller gave his agent. I've never seen it but this is what he has given me. Unfortunately it doesn't have the dimensions but he did tell me that the place is around 950 sq ft.

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

When I bought in the area, I was really concerned about traffic, but there is no way in hell that it takes 15 minutes to get from Bayview to Leslie. I drive regularly from where I live back to Scarborough to visit friends, and door to door, it takes 20 minutes. the route I take is going onto...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

Thanks for the reply pipolchap. I'm definitely a suburban at heart, but living close to the TTC saves us a lot of money annually since we need to take the subway to work downtown. Traffic actually is not as bad at the intersection of Bayview/Sheppard and around the neighbouring area as opposed...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

Thank you, but I have already read your posts carefully. It's not so much what you say rather than the language used in saying it.

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

No, I'm not having buyer's remorse. All the points that you have talked about I have considered during my shopping, so it is not really anything new to me. However, I do respect the fact that people have different lifestyles and opinions, so I can see why some people would prefer to live on...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

Geez... it's one thing to dislike an area, but another to totally despise it and borderline hate it. In all due respect, I understand that you don't like to live in the area, but it seems like you can't even appreciate the fact that some ppl do? I don't like living at Yonge/Sheppard either...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

See, that's the thing. I don't want to live on Yonge. It's true that there are a lot of shops on Yonge, but growing up in Scarborough/Markham, I'm much more used to driving everywhere and shopping in malls/plazas. I mean, sure, there are tons of shops on Yonge, but most of them are small...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

Thanks for the reply! Well, so far, I have noticed that the building appears to be well kept. The cleaning staff are very diligent in sanitizing the place daily (I can smell the freshness every morning :p) and the residents are generally friendly. I bought one of the bigger units in the...

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

Hi everyone, I just purchased a resale condo in the Rockefeller Building at Bayview/Sheppard and happened to stumble upon this site as I was surfing. I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a thread that currently discusses this neighbourhood so I was just wondering what everyone thinks about...
