I rest my case. Adam's been banned before - I'm assuming for vile, childish, bizarre posts like the one above.

I realize this is a response to a relatively long ago post, but you've misread Adam. He and I clashed over this building as well - a handful of posts which culminated in him trying to 'school' me with a building in my city which I not only love, but live a block away from. Jets lack of finesse...

"Headcam interview"? What a dumb idea. Where's my Gravol?

It really is a pleasant surprise. It's a small thing but it makes me so happy to see it. As an aside, they should have gone with ACME ATHLETIC CENTRE.

Agreed. I mean, how often will they have to 'service' it?

Thanks drum! Such a fascinating jobsite.

I try to avoid the nitpick, but what's up with the cheap interlock on the terrace?

Security better be on high alert - I fear steveve's going to hump this thing. The Trump Hump.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think they're finished going upwards. According to the render, there are two more floors.

Love that first shot. Why do people always apologize for photo quality? I'm sure the vast majority of the people on here understand that a large percentage of photos taken these days are taken with a cell phone, which may or may not be of high quality. And even if they don't, who cares? Are...

    CNE Air Show

When I lived on the top floor of 24 Noble (late 90's), I had the greatest view of the show. They weren't THAT close, but with that noise level, it felt like they were about to crash through my window. It was fabulous. (The Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire - cued up to a simulcast on the radio -...

Well, not everyone's the same and not everyone's like your girlfriend. If I was your doctor, you'd prefer the drink in me.

The problem with pot is that it can be unpredictable. I enjoyed it in my youth, but every so often, I'd have some serious reactions - sometimes mental, sometimes physical, sometimes both. I can't imagine if I'd been on a job, or driving a vehicle. To compare weed to alcohol is a little...

    Toronto Before: Historical Photo Mash-Ups

It's almost as if the one old woman is saying to the other old woman (and they probably weren't that old), "My GOODNESS, Bessie, can you BELIEVE what those future people are wearing? No hats and I believe I see some uncovered limbs! Poppycock! Let's get out of here! Quick! To our dandy horses!"

I agree. It really is a cool idea and is sure to be a big hit, but the paranoia in me makes me think something horrible is bound to happen.

Don't agree with most of what Earth Heals Herself has said, but I really don't agree with the way some people behave on this forum - with the quick dismissals and belittling. It's quite mean-spirited and immature.

Old city hall bells = gravy?

They did the same thing at Ridley College here in St.Catharines. I didn't notice until it was reported in our local newspaper. Sounded exactly the same - volume and all. It's happening in Europe also. If the bells remain, it becomes a sound issue. If the sound's the same, I don't see an issue.

I agree. And, as a poster eluded to earlier in this thread, what was once a vibrant area, has been severely reduced. I believe the Zanzibar, of all places, is one of the last reminders of the strip's former glory from a neon standpoint. I remember staying with my family at the Delta Chelsea back...
